xG2 – Pink Turtlehead

Chelone lyonii ‘Hot Lips’

Native hybrid: Need some late season bloomers? Turtleheads are native wildflowers that adapt beautifully to garden conditions.  This perennial relative of the snapdragon has deep pink flowers that attract bees and butterflies.  ’Hot Lips’ forms an upright, bushy mound of shiny green foliage, bronzy-green early in the season. To prevent plants from flopping in heavy shade, pinch stems back in the Spring to limit plant size.
